Day 01 : Arrival at Delhi
You will be arriving at Delhi, the capital of successive dynasties and empires, now a reclining metropolis with a delightful blend of the gratifying past and the magnificent present. It is a perfect prelusion to the rich culture of an ancient land. Company representative will receive you on arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. You will be guided to the hotel where a warm welcome awaits you, greeted by flower garlands, followed by a welcome drink and sweets (Mithai). A brief introduction about the Rajasthan Heritage Tour and the places it’s going to cover will be given also introduced to the city of glorious past- Delhi. Retreat to your hotel rooms for an overnight stay.
Day 02 : Delhi Sightseeing
Morning after breakfast of your choice a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi is organized, visiting the Raj Ghat - a memorial where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated surrounded by big lawns embellished with flowers; Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India and the Red Fort - built in red stone by great emperor Shah Jhan. You will be definitely enthralled by the colorful bazaars of Chandani Chowk- once the shopping hub for the royal ladies and can enjoy some delicious delicacies of the market.
After lunch excitement includes an extensive sightseeing tour of New Delhi. You will visit the Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub Minar, a drive along the historical boulevard includes - Rajpath, the imposing India Gate, Parliament House, the President's Residence. You can enjoy shopping at Connaught Place- the center of Delhi or from Palika Bazaar. Dinner at hotel with overnight stay.
Day 03 : Delhi - Agra (By Road 250 km/05 hrs)
After breakfast proceed to Agra. Akbar and Shah Jahan the two Mughal czars transformed the little village of Agra into an appropriate second capital of the Mughal Empire - giving it the name Dar-ul-Khilafat (seat of the Emperor). Today Agra stands as a monumental city comprising of some splendid edifices. Even modern Agra still reflects its Mughal heritage most evidently.
Your day itinerary will start by visiting Taj- one of the 7 wonders of the world. Taj Mahal is spiritual being a raison-de-etre for every tourist's visit to Agra. You will be left spellbound at the vision of this great magnum opus built by Shah Jahan, in memory of his beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal. You will wonder at the sight that the great Taj took 22 years to be completed employing almost 20,000 workers. Don't forget to note the engraved carving that was once embellished with precious stones and jewels, later taken away by the British. Also enjoy battery van ride to the Taj Mahal.
Proceed for sightseeing to the Agra Fort - a huge monument ensconced with many palaces, gardens, the picture perfect Pearl Mosque. You will have a magnificent view of Taj Mahal from the fort, which is a major tourist attraction. Later pay a visit to Itmad-ud-daulah's Tomb built by Empress Noor Jehan in memory of her father. The interiors of the tomb are worth to pay attention, as they are considered better than the Taj.
A walk down the narrow bustling streets of the city will introduce the visitor to the wafting aroma of Mughlai cuisine. Enjoy shopping at Agra. Overnight will be at Agra.
Day 04 : Agra - Jaipur (By Road 250 km/05 hrs)
After breakfast drive to beautiful Pink City - Jaipur. En-route visit Fatehpur Sikri the deserted city built in red sandstone. It a veritable fairytale city and its "ruins" are in pristine condition ... also visit the Buland Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world.
By afternoon you will be in the princely state of Rajasthan- Jaipur. Check in at the hotel.
Popularly known as the Pink City because of the extensive use of the locally abundant pink plastered stone, painted in honor of Queen Victoria. Jaipur thrills the soul with its massive forts, magnificent palaces, exquisite temples and lush gardens. Overnight will be at Jaipur.
Day 05 : Jaipur Sightseeing Tour
Morning after breakfast drive to Amber Palace perched on a hilltop and enjoy the Elephant ride to the fort. From top of the fort you can have a scenic view of the whole city of Jaipur.
After lunch continue city sightseeing tour of City Palace- housing the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum. Jantar Mantar - it will give you much information about the astronomical instruments that used to work in the bygone era. Hawa Mahal- you will be bewitched viewing the ornamental facade of this "Palace of Winds", with its fine trelliswork, elaborate balconies with 953 niches and windows.
Evening at your leisure- freak out in the colorful markets of Jaipur or relax in your hotel with some recreational activities. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06 : Jaipur - Jodhpur (By Road 350 km/06 hrs)
After breakfast proceed to Jodhpur. Reach Jodhpur and check into hotel. Located at the border of the Thar Desert the city was once the capital of the Marwar State. The main attraction of the city Mehrangarh Fort looms on the top of a rocky hill, at a height of 125m. In the afternoon visit Mehrangarh Fort (1459 AD), it houses many miniature paintings & cradle room followed by a visit to Jaswant Thada Memorial. Overnight will be at Jodhpur.
Day 07 : Jodhpur - Udaipur (By Road 300km/06hrs)
Morning drive to Udaipur. Visit Ranakpur en route paying visit to the famous Jain Temple. The unique feature of the temple are its 200 unique pillars, none of which are alike supporting its 29 halls embellished with intricate carving and sculptures. Reach Udaipur and check in at hotel.
The city of Dawn, Udaipur is a lovely land around the azure lake, hemmed in by the lush hills of the Aravallis. Its fairy-tale palaces, shimmering blue lakes, temples, gardens and narrow lanes strewn with stalls, carry the flavor of a heroic past, epitomizing valor and chivalry. Their reflection in the placid waters of the Lake Pichhola is an enticing sight. Overnight will be at Udaipur.
Day 08 : Udaipur Sightseeing Tour
After enjoying the delicious Rajasthani cuisine proceed for your sightseeing tour of Udaipur. Morning first destination will be the royal City Palace. Here you will marvel at room's decor with mirrored walls and ivory doors colored glass windows and inlaid marble balconies and the Peacock Courtyard.
After lunch start your journey for Lake Pichola. Proceed for Evening Motor launch cruise on the lake. From the boat you will be able to view the city of Udaipur as it rises majestically above the lake in the middle of the Rajasthan desert. Next visit the Jag Mandir Palace - the other island palace in the middle of the lake. Spend some time at the Jag Mandir Palace. Visit the 300-year-old Jagdish Temple and the Royal Cenotaphs of the Rajput kings. Overnight will be at Udaipur.
Day 9: Udaipur - Pushkar (By Road 300km/05hrs)
City Palace-UdaipurNext morning start your cruiser for Pushkar after breakfast. En-route visit Chittorgarh. Chittorgarh echoes with the tales of romance and valor unique to the Rajput tradition.Visit the ruined citadel. You will be astonished to know that this fortified settlement has been ravaged thrice and each time the outcome was 'JAUHAR' -when women and children immolated themselves on a huge funeral pyre. After lunch proceed to Pushkar. Check in at your hotel.
Visit the famous Brahma Temple the only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma in the world. Blessed with cultural blends, it is the venue for the famous Pushkar Fair, with people coming from all over Asia to buy and sell cattle of breeds from across the world. Visit the Ghats as the city has beautiful 52 bathing Ghats and 500 temples each having its own miraculous qualities and powers of healing and with varied architectural styles. In the evening visit the Rose Garden of Rajasthan famous for its rose essence, the Pushkar rose is also exported to the world. Overnight at Pushkar.
Day 10: Pushkar - Kishangrah - Delhi (By Road 400km/07 hrs)
Morning drive to Kishangarh after breakfast. En route visit Ajmer, pay your homage at the holy pilgrim of Muslims- the Dargah Sharif Tomb of the Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, which is equally worshiped by the Hindus and Muslims. Continue drive to Kishangarh, situated on the National Highway 8 in the Center of Rajasthan, 100 Km South West of Jaipur.
It is primarily known for its world famous Miniature Paintings and Handicrafts and for the largest marble and granite cutting industry in the Country. Other attractions of the city are the fort of Kishangarh, Phool Mahal (Palace of the flowers) for the Maharaja's of Kishangarh. A private residence of the Royal Family of Kishangarh opens for the discerning traveler. The Palace has lovely views of centuries old "Gundalao Lake" - is a paradise to flamingoes, pelicans, wild duck and the sarus (crane).
Lunch will be at Phool Mahal. Start for Delhi and reach by evening. You will be transferred to the airport for your home destination.
